Final: A Completed Game!


Late June 2022

Finally, after many months of hard work and countless hours trying to iron out all the issues, the game is finally ready for its initial Version 1.0 release - Whilst I know that it is far from perfect (and lacks some features I had initially wanted to include), I am happy for the game to be ready in its first proper iteration.

I learnt some big lessons making this game: Firstly, always be prepared to scale back your initial ideas, because it is better to do a few features very well than it is to do many features poorly. Secondly, always budget more time than you think you need to in the development process; some things take so much longer to do than they seem, so be extra generous when budgeting their time. Thirdly, playtest, playtest, playtest! Whether it's you or someone else, always get someone to sit down and actually play the game - *don't* just let it sit in the editor and think that all your changes will have worked fine. Play it to make sure! 

I had a lot of fun making this game and I can't quite believe how far its come in the last 6 months. I hope you all enjoy playing it, and keep your eyes peeled for the next project!
