I submitted the game for some playtesting and I got some interesting feedback - quite a few of the players felt that they didn't understand some of the basic mechanics or how enemies behaved until after quite a few playthroughs. 

This showed me that my game had a problem: The controls were not intuitive enough and there was not enough initial communication with the player... 

In order to fix this, I added in the ability to cycle through the weapons using the 'Tab' button, rather than having to press a specific number key, and I also added in a 2 page Controls/Tutorial page at the beginning of the game. This made sure that the player was introduced to the main concepts of each enemy's behaviours, how the weapons worked/ when they are unlocked, as well as how stamina can be regained.

After instituting these changes, playtesters said that they felt a lot more confident when starting out with the game and thus enjoyed it more.
