8/Game Modes and Menu Screen

I wanted to have an appropriately Gothic and macabre opening screen that would be eye-catching to players and wouldn't just sit static on the screen. Hence I decided to make a disturbing and fiery image inspired by paintings of Dante Alighieri's 'Inferno'. Once I was satisfied that I had made the perfect background for my Intro screen, I also added some simple code to the object inside Unity that made the whole image spin and zoom in slowly - This was meant to emulate the player's impending journey of descending into hell and fighting their way back out again! 

I also added a Settings screen, which gives the player control over whether they want to mute the sound or choose the difficulty of the game from a list of 'easy', 'medium', 'hard' and 'endless'. These options are given so that they player can choose how much of a challenge they want to face or if they purely want to see how long they can last!
