After implementing all the visual design, I still felt that something was missing from the game - the new sprites, background and UI had helped in fostering the right atmosphere, yet the game still felt one dimensional to a degree.

The problem was that there wasn't enough feedback from the users actions, meaning that completing tasks like killing a demon felt too insignificant.

I solved this problem by creating a library of original sounds (using my only Foley methods) and implemented them into the game. Moreover, I also wrote gameplay music inspired by some of my favourite gothic era composers - A combination of the new sound effects and the haunting soundtrack gave my game the splash of life and colour it needed.

N.B. All sound effects and soundtracks were made using Audacity
